GENERAL

Name: Gilgamesh
Nicknames: The Fugitive, The Runaway Berserker, The Condemned Soul
Ethnicity/Nationality: British
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Handedness: Ambidextrous
Skin: Somewhat pale
Gender: Male
Blood Type: Unknown
Age: 21 (has stopped aging)
Birthday: Unknown
Zodiac (Greek): Unknown
Zodiac (Chinese): Unknown
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 190 lbs
Eyes: His right eye glows red while his left eye is brown (but it also glows red when he’s angry)
Hair: Black

Distinguishing Marks: His right eye always seems to glow red, but when he’s angry, both his right and left eye will glow bright red as will his weapon, Blazecleaver

Description: Tall and well built. He always wears a black scarf, coat, slacks, and boots and is always carrying his blade, a massive glaive-like weapon  he dubbed Blazecleaver.

PERSONALITY

Overview: He always seems like a coat-throat killer. While he does have a compassionate side, he rarely ever shows any emotion at all. He is a loner by nature and isn’t one to ask for the aid of others. Amazingly, he doesn’t seem to need any help to begin with as he’s defeated countless units of mercenaries on his own.

Traits: His right eye always seems to glow a faint red, but when he's angry and the Soul Edge fragment in Blazecleaver surges into him, both of his eyes glow bright red. When the fragment's energy completely charges him, his skin may turn a really pale or his hair may turn silver. It seems the nature of the Soul Edge fragment is varable and unstable.

Phobias: Has no phobias since he has nothing else to lose in life.
Favorite Colors: Black and white.
Favorite Scents: The smell of a good well-cooked meal as these are rare to him.
Favorite Foods: Since he lives in the wilderness, he isn’t picky.
Other Favorites: He’s not really interested in anything other than proving his innocents.

Strengths: He has great physical strength and endurance. Along with all his physical strength, the fragment of Soul Edge that augments the Blazecleaver often gives him a great boost in power. In these situations he could possibly shatter a boulder with his bare hands. He also seems to have a strong will as the fragment of Soul Edge has had no negative effects on him.

Weaknesses: His main weakness stems from the fact that he rarely ever finishes off the mercenaries and bounty hunters that come after him. He avoids their vitals and battle only injuring them. After the battles are over he moves on hoping the enemies will not purse him anymore.

FAMILY

He is now considered a traitor to his people (including his family)

BACKGROUND

First Kiss: Refuses to reveal
First Love: Refuses to reveal

Extras: He has a very shady past and tends not to talk to anyone about it (even those he considers ‘friends’). The fragment of Soul Edge in his weapon has effected his body over time. He no longer ages- always appearing to be twenty-one. He has seen many sights in Europe and knows his way around the continent like the back of his hand. He also has a high threshold for pain since he’s been seriously injured numerous times only to recover shortly after. He believes the fragment of Soul Edge has something to do with his quick recovery rate, but it could also just be his overall toughness.

Story: There once there was a large kingdom on the outskirts of Europe- a peaceful republic which kept to itself avoiding all disputes and conflicts around the continent, but they would soon learn that not all conflicts can be avoided...

There where very few in the kingdom that were willing to take up the sword. Soldiers and guards where scarce and the Emperor worried that if the village fell under attack their chances of warding off the attackers would be slim. Despite the Emperor’s pleas to his subjects, very few agreed to join the kingdom’s military academy, but there were a few young men willing to join the academy and become cadets. One of these souls was a tall, fifteen year old boy with long jet black hair named Gilgamesh. Little did Gilamesh know his decision to become a warrior would change his life forever.

From the very start of his training, Gilgamesh impressed his superiors and quickly became the academy’s star pupil. He trained in the academy for two years and finally became a cadet after graduating. One year later, the village was invaded by a rouge brigade. The battle quickly spiraled out of control when the brigade managed to capture the Empress and hold her hostage. Gilamesh’s unit was sent in to try and rescue her, but the brigades easily out numbered them. The entire unit was all wiped out except for Gilamesh himself, but determined to prove his worth, he fought on and managed to save the Empress single handedly.

Upon returning the Empress safely, Gilgamesh was appointed to the commanding officer of the kingdom’s military. The Emperor also gave him a legendary weapon that had been past down through the ages- it was a massive glaive-like weapon which was said to have mystic properties. No-one had been able to use the weapon, but Gilgamesh quickly adapted to it through vigorous training. The kingdom was invaded many times over the three years that he was the commanding officer, but each time the invaders fell to Gilgamesh’s tactical genius and skill. Gilgamesh had almost everything a warrior could want in life that was until the day he became a fugitive...

It all started one seemingly peaceful day when the Emperor called Gilgamesh to his chambers. He explained to Gilgamesh that the weapon he held was the kingdom’s most valuable treasure due to the fact that it was augmented with a fragment of Soul Edge. The Emperor ordered Gilgamesh to leave the kingdom and take the weapon with him for fear that it would fall into the wrong hands. Gilgamesh finally agreed to leave with the weapon, but before he would, the Emperor and Empress were murdered and Gilgamesh was blamed for the crime. Despite Gilgmesh claims that he’d seen the real murder, no-one believed him and the whole kingdom wanted to see him executed.

Gilgamesh refused to give up, so he fled the kingdom and became a wandering fugitive. The trails ahead of him will not be easy. He must constantly watch his back as the kingdom is still looking for him- sending out bounty hunters and mercenaries to take his life.

He now seeks to find the true murder and clear his good name, and thanks to the Emperor’s final words he does have one lead. If the Emperor’s murder wanted the weapon for the fragment of Soul Edge within it, he must certainly be looking for Soul Edge itself as well. After much research, Gilgamesh discovered the sword is now in the possession of a knight named Draco Faust Williams. Gilgamesh decides to search for this knight and hopefully he will cross paths with the true murder in the process and finally be able to redeem himself in the eyes of his people.

Wrote this for *simiansmasher's OC, Gilgamesh.

Basically this is Gilgamesh's Entire Chronicles of The Sword Universe Biography in a nutshell. This Bio was made in accordance with my Chronicles of the Sword trilogy: The Untold Stages of History, Dawn of Fate, and The Williams Family Chronicles.

Random Fact: As far as the Soul Calibur Universe goes, Gilgamesh's original storyline is based off the Chronicles of the Sword Universe and NOT the canon ones from all 5 Soul series games; though aspects of those were added in her storyline as well.
